Episode Overview

When a journalist arrives at the hospital with a foot infection, Dana (Janine Turner) uncovers that she is secretly struggling with heroin addiction. Meanwhile, Lu (Rosa Blasi) is summoned to the emergency room after a deaf family is admitted due to a fire in their apartment. Concerned for their well-being, Lu proposes a dangerous ear surgery, but the husband is against it. Later, Lu introduces her boyfriend to Marc (Chris Marquette) at her home, creating an unexpected dynamic between them.
