While Lu is away from the clinic, Dana cares for a young patient living with HIV and discovers that his mother has removed him from his medication with Lu's consent. Outraged, she decides to report the mother for her actions. Despite the boy experiencing severe side effects from the treatment, Dr. Bob Jackson insists that he resume the medication. Meanwhile, Dana finds herself attracted to a charming intern who has joined the clinic.
