Episode Overview

Lu's (Rosa Blasi) patient undergoes a critical liver transplant, but Andy (Patricia Richardson) has other plans for the liver that was not used. Complicating matters, Lu's patient's husband, recently released from prison after three years, seems to be grappling with more than just sadness. In a personal twist, Andy ponders deepening her relationship with Dr. Morton (Richard Biggs). Meanwhile, Lana (Jenifer Lewis) experiences upheaval as a figure from her past re-emerges. Dr. Biancavilla (Brennan Elliott) confronts an ethical issue when a friend in the paramedic field is accidentally exposed to a needle from an IV drug user.
