S01E21 The Defense Never Rests
Episode Overview
The Defenders venture into space to explore a strange comet, only to realize too late that it’s actually an Ilyrian spacecraft pulling them in with tractor beams. Once aboard, they learn they’ll be put on trial as the galaxy's most notorious criminals, with Ming as their accuser. In exchange for his damning evidence, Ming receives advanced technology disguised as "rebuilding tools," which he actually plans to use for global domination. During the trial, damning footage of Ming's Android Clones posing as the Defenders emerges, putting them in dire straits. Meanwhile, Rick, L.J., and Jedda escape to Ice Station Earth, where they discover Ming’s devious scheme. Back on the Ilyrian ship, the Defenders are declared guilty and sentenced to exile 300 light years away, but just before their transfer, the young Defenders burst in with the androids, turning the tide in their favor.
