Episode Overview
During a confrontation with Ming's roboships over the North African Desert, Flash stumbles upon the ruins of an ancient pyramid. Inside, he discovers a mystical obelisk that grants visions when touched. The other Defenders soon join him, and Mandrake reveals that this sacred obelisk is rumored to predict the future. Meanwhile, Ming is nearby, searching for the same obelisk to enhance his time drive to four times the speed of light. When Rick and L.J. touch the obelisk, they envision defeating Octon, boosting their confidence for their mission to Ice Station Earth. However, they end up captured in Ming's desert hideout. Mandrake clarifies that the obelisk reveals one's fears or desires instead of actual future events. Scavenger, a desert native whose home Ming has taken over, manages to escape and alerts the Defenders, who then launch an assault on Ming's base. Ultimately, Mandrake destroys Ming's time drive,
