Episode Overview

At school, Jedda receives an invitation to a party from Eric, who openly states, “Everything’s better with a little vodka.” Initially uncertain, she ultimately agrees, finding Eric charming and thrilling. Rick and L.J. caution her to avoid him, but she reminds them that they aren’t her guardians. At the party that night, Eric is heavily intoxicated, and his friend Sam adds alcohol to Jedda's punch to help her relax. Feeling disoriented, Jedda asks Eric for a ride home, but he passes out while driving, forcing her to regain control just in time. Giving him another chance, she joins Eric at a drag race. Disturbed by his reckless behavior, she insists he drive her home again, but they end up crashing into a lake. Rick and L.J. dive in to rescue them, prompting Eric to confront his alcoholism. He begins attending daily counseling, understanding that the path to sobriety is challenging but worthwhile.
