Episode Overview
Rick is feeling overwhelmed trying to match Flash's legendary status, and it's affecting every part of his life—school, personal matters, and his duties as a Defender. A so-called "friend" hands him a vial of drugs, which Kshin witnesses him use in a desperate attempt to improve his performance when Ming, powered by an electrode machine, attacks Monitor. Forgetting to activate the defense system, Flash must distract Ming while he and the other senior Defenders are trapped under a collapsed subway tunnel. Meanwhile, Rick, high and frustrated, throws a fit at Monitor. When Ming returns and injures Kshin, Rick realizes the drug's consequences. To redeem himself, he leads Ming through a training simulation, driving the villain into a frenzy. As Ming's enhancements fade, he hallucinates and retreats to Ice Station Earth, pursued by Rick, Jedda, and L.J. Kshin praises Rick as a hero, but Rick believes Kshin deserves the title for rejecting drugs.
