The universe is on the verge of collapse due to the strain from Graviton's bridge, and the malevolent alien seeks the Necklace of Oros for his survival. When the reptilian humanoid traps Jedda in Monitor, he demands the powerful artifact, allowing Ming to launch an assault on the Defenders' base. A perilous inter-dimensional rift opens above Monitor, threatening annihilation. Ming temporarily halts his attack, proposing a truce with the Defenders to unite against Graviton. With Dynak X connected to Octon, Rick reverses Monitor's energy generator's polarity, sending Graviton back to his realm but taking Jedda along. Stripped of power, the heroes face Ming's onslaught. While Flash battles invading robotic ships, Rick manages to restore the generator, reactivating defense lasers to repel the attackers.
