S01E63 The Adoption of Kshin
Episode Overview
During the court hearing for Mandrake's adoption of Kshin, an elderly Asian man named Hai arrives, claiming to be the boy's grandfather. His presence triggers Kshin’s memories of a tragic past—when he was just three, he and his parents were attacked by the Dragon Queen while searching for the Lost City of Dreams. Mandrake reminisces about first meeting Kshin in Singapore and discovering part of a mysterious map on him. Hai reveals the other half, providing the complete directions to the Lost City. Kshin, Hai, Mandrake, and Lothar embark on an adventure to find the city. Meanwhile, the Dragon Queen learns of their quest and pursues them through perilous jungles and traps. Once they reach the Lost City, the Queen captures them and tosses them into a well. They manage to escape with help from the Defenders, defeating the Dragon Queen, but tragically, Hai dies. With his last wish fulfilled, Mandrake successfully adopts
