When news breaks that Freya has been abducted by a menacing new enemy, the Mikaelson brothers must temporarily set aside their conflicts to rescue her before it's too late. Their search leads them to Mystic Falls, where Elijah and Finn encounter deputy Matt Donovan, who is less than welcoming to unfamiliar vampires in his town. Meanwhile, Klaus and Hayley collaborate to unravel the true intentions behind one of Lucien's hidden schemes. At the same time, Davina grows increasingly worried about Kol's troubling change in demeanor and what it might mean for their relationship.
