Episode Overview

Janet celebrates her election victory by holding a press conference at Cheers. Diane shows up to make amends with Sam but ends up grilling Janet with personal inquiries, prompting Sam to kick her out of the bar. Later, Sam and Janet have a heart-to-heart and decide their relationship isn't meant to be, leading to a breakup. Afterward, Sam picks up the phone and surprises everyone by proposing to someone. Meanwhile, with Vera unexpectedly called away, Donna finds herself alone with Norm, much to his dismay.
