Detectives from the 65th Precinct dive into the shady world of art theft to track down a stolen ancient statue of the goddess Athena. What motivates someone to steal the coveted Minerva when it can’t even be shown off? The group of criminals is headed by an unusual duo who fancy themselves as Blackbeard and Captain Kidd, yet they resemble Wall Street accountants more than swashbucklers. Meanwhile, the museum curator isn’t much of a resource, as she’s ready to pay a ransom for the statue she deeply reveres, no questions needed.
