Benson (1979)

Episode Overview

Pete pleads with Benson to lend him his car, and when Benson finally agrees, Pete returns with it completely wrecked. He had used the vehicle to chase down a van with armed robbers, and while his heroic act earns him praise, Benson faces a nightmare. Not only is he left without a car, but his insurance won’t cover the damage either. Ultimately, it falls on Pete, Benson, and a televised press conference, which could provide Benson with an opportunity to secure some media attention and potentially help him with the costs of his destroyed car.
