Episode Overview

In the final week of the heats, a new batch of amateur cooks competes for a coveted spot in the quarter finals. Five eager contestants aim to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace with their culinary skills, hoping to claim the title of 2016 MasterChef Champion. They begin by preparing their Calling Card dishes, which showcase their unique cooking styles. After sampling all five creations, John and Gregg will each select their top choice. If they happen to agree on a dish, they'll then choose their second favorite from the remaining options.
