From hundreds of hopefuls, 64 aspiring chefs have made it through to compete over four weeks of intense heats, showcasing an array of remarkable, inventive, and unique dishes. In the opening round, the first eight contestants aim to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace with their culinary skills in hopes of becoming the 2017 MasterChef Champion. This season introduces the exciting new MasterChef market, brimming with exceptional ingredients from across the globe, including a variety of meats and seafood. For their initial challenge, the contestants must create and prepare a dish using the market’s offerings.
