Episode Overview

An elderly tenant in the Romano's apartment building stands firm against a rent increase, refusing to be forced out of his home. Unable to cope with the pressure due to his age and disability, he barricades himself inside with a shotgun, taking the family hostage. His goal is to get on television and demand that the building owners allow him to remain in his apartment at a fair rental rate. Tragically, this episode marked the final TV appearance of Mr. J. Pat O'Malley, who would later spend his last years at The Motion Picture and TV Home in Woodland Hills, California, until his passing in 1986.
