Episode Overview
Title: Aunt Abigail's Beau Plot: Janet King's sister, Abigail (affectionately known as Aunt 'Crabigail') Ward, is a meticulous old maid who prides herself on her immaculate home. When her former sweetheart, Malcolm McEwan, returns from the Yukon with newfound wealth, he begins to pursue Abigail. Initially, she welcomes his attention, but Malcolm's boisterous nature and tendency to create chaos, along with an avalanche of extravagant gifts, overwhelm her. In a state of panic, Abigail returns his engagement ring. Meanwhile, Sara and Felicity are thrilled about the romance, and when they learn Malcolm is leaving, they rush to inform Abigail. Determined, she adorns herself with his gifts and, with Sara and Felicity clinging on, dashes after the stagecoach to plead for Malcolm to stay.
