Episode Overview

Edwin Clark, a former love of Olivia's, has come back to Avonlea, determined to win her over. Years ago, Hetty had driven him away, but now that he’s wealthy and successful, she no longer protests. Meanwhile, Sara believes that Olivia would be better off with the shy, awkward Jasper Dale and encourages him to pursue her. Olivia finds herself caught between her past with Edwin and a potential future with Jasper. However, her choice becomes evident during a crisis when a young boy falls into an abandoned well, revealing the true character of both men. My favourite quote: "Ain't that the pistol." ~Jasper Dale
