S06E01 The Return of Gus Pike
Episode Overview
While studying at medical school, Felicity is surprised when Felix visits her. They spot Gus in the marketplace with an unfamiliar woman, leading Felicity to mistakenly believe he is engaged to Charlotte Ames. In a moment of misunderstanding, she returns Gus's ring. Later, Gus tracks Felicity down at school, and they agree they need to have a serious conversation. As they walk back to her rooming house, they come across a flower lady who mistakenly identifies Gus as Captain Crane. They decide to take her back to Avonlea to uncover a mystery. Gus suspects the flower lady could be Eliza Pike, his supposedly deceased mother. A photograph of Eliza with Abe Pike confirms her identity, but it also reveals a picture of Captain Crane hidden behind it, making Gus question if he is actually his biological father. Determined to find answers, Gus and Eliza plan a trip to Jamaica to search for him. Before he leaves, Gus urges Felicity to promise him, "Say you'll be mine."
