As graduation week approaches for junior high, Beaver is enjoying himself immensely, even ditching a class with Gilbert. However, his excitement takes a turn when he starts to worry about not graduating. This fear arises after he and Gilbert sneak a look at the diplomas on Mrs. Rayburn's desk and discover that Beaver's diploma is nowhere to be found.
