Episode Overview

The Barkleys host a dinner for the foreman of their logging operations, but Heath unexpectedly bursts in, intent on killing the man. He soon discovers that the foreman is Matt Bentell, the warden of the notorious Carterson Prison, where Heath endured brutal treatment during the war. Fueled by vengeance, Heath had vowed to take Bentell’s life if they ever crossed paths again. To defuse the situation, the family devises a plan to send Heath to the logging camp with Bentell to assist with constructing log flumes and to ensure the warden's safety. Ultimately, Heath saves Bentell's life and realizes that even the worst people can change.
