Cadfael (1994)

Episode Overview

After the goldsmith of Shrewsbury is brutally robbed and left in a critical state, the townspeople initiate a frantic witch-hunt. The main suspect, a young juggler who had entertained at the goldsmith's son's wedding, desperately seeks refuge in the Abbey to escape the angry mob. Meanwhile, as Cadfael digs deeper into the case, a second corpse is discovered floating in the River Severn, complicating the investigation further.
