Episode Overview
(Fort Worth, TX - 4:16 PM Stolen Vehicle Incident) North Division - Officer W.E. Spakes has spent three years in the NPD2 Baker District, a largely Hispanic neighborhood. His limited Spanish creates communication challenges. As Baker 14, he responds to a chase involving a stolen vehicle that ends in a crash at 28th and Angle. The wrecked car is lodged in bushes, missing a front tire and emitting smoke. Officer Ernesto Flores apprehends a black passenger in a red shirt, while the Mexican driver in a yellow shirt and blue jeans is later discovered curled up in the bushes. W.E. rouses him with a sternum rub, confirming he’s unharmed. They then update Sgt. William Hernandez on the situation. In Des Moines, IA (8:55 PM Domestic Disturbance Call), Officer John Poplawski, who speaks both Polish and Spanish, teams up with Officer Kenneth Brown
