**Title: Texas vs. Cahill** **Plot:** Alex is tasked with retrial of notorious mob leader Lane Tillman, defended by her former lover, Tony Seville. The following morning, Alex awakens to find Tony dead beside her, leading to her arrest on murder charges. She confides in Walker that Tony had come to her with crucial evidence before she lost consciousness. Her father, Gordon Cahill, steps in to represent her in court. While Alex is incarcerated in a women’s prison where inmates resent her presence, she finds an ally in Alfre Grimes, wrongly imprisoned. Meanwhile, Walker and Trivette discover from Tony’s sister, Mollie, that he had a falling out with Tillman, raising suspicions that Tillman orchestrated the murder to eliminate the threat of a retrial. Mollie later receives a letter from Tony.
