Episode Overview
Title: Class Act Plot: Josie Peters is the top student in her class, eagerly anticipating an upcoming field trip. However, she worries she won’t be able to participate due to her family's financial struggles. While the school offers assistance for such cases, her father refuses to accept help and insists he will find a way to cover the costs. The night before the trip, Ralph Peel, Len Peters' boss, is robbed, losing the day's earnings. Meanwhile, Josie harbors a crush on her teacher, Roger Gifford, and when her father discovers her diary, he mistakenly assumes her infatuations are serious. Additionally, ventriloquist Ernie Dobson has passed away, leaving behind his dummy Enoch to David, who treats it like a living entity, much to the annoyance of Vernon Scripps.
