Gilou is presented with an opportunity to avoid prison time if he consents to act as a police informant, with the stipulation that he must steer clear of Laure. At the same time, the police unit concentrates their efforts on the Barbès district of Paris, where at-risk youth are being taken advantage of by those who trade in stolen property.
