During the finale of the school play, Eli's emotions spill over in an unscripted speech, declaring that life offers no happy endings. Anya faces disappointment when her application to the army gets denied after she fails a drug test, leading to her mother discovering her secret; nevertheless, she remains determined to follow her ambitions. Meanwhile, K.C. and Jenna make the difficult decision to put their baby, Tyson, up for adoption.
