Episode Overview

Following Rukawa's confrontation with a group of bullies, Hanamichi is taken aback and asks for his identity. Upon learning that Rukawa is the boy Haruko admires, jealousy ignites within him. Soon after, Haruko arrives to tend to Rukawa's injuries, but he brushes her off, fueling Hanamichi's anger even more. Misinterpreting the situation, Haruko believes Hanamichi is responsible for Rukawa's injuries and expresses her disdain for him. This misunderstanding plunges Hanamichi into despair once again.
