Episode Overview
As the spring semester kicks off, Lauren reveals to Ben that she’s pregnant and that he is the father, expressing her intention to raise the child on her own. Meanwhile, Professor Hodges recruits Ben and Trevor as research assistants. Trevor persuades Ben to take a paternity test, but while he waits for the results, he becomes so distracted that he neglects Hodges' experiment, leading to his replacement. When the test confirms he is the father, Ben confronts Lauren about her secrecy. Despite feeling conflicted, he decides he can't be involved in the child's life. Hodges offers him another chance, and Ben vows to focus. He then breaks the news of the pregnancy to a stunned Felicity. Meanwhile, Felicity and Owen struggle to attract interest from galleries for their artwork. When Felicity's mother visits, she reveals her plans to get a real-estate license, urging Felicity to consider the same path, which leaves Felicity anxious about her future.
