Holly and Vince attempt to mend their friendship by organizing a surprise party for Gary’s 18th birthday. Their plans take a twist when they unexpectedly encounter Jill, Gary's ex, at the diner, even though she was supposed to be in Paris. They discover that Jill has actually been in New York for the past six months. This revelation sparks a debate between Holly and Vince over whether to inform Gary about Jill on his special day.
