Eric turns to Wilson (guest-star Andrew Keegan), Mary's ex-boyfriend, for guidance after Charlie (guest-star Eric Panler), a new father, admits to feeling overwhelmed by the pressures of parenthood. Meanwhile, Lucy and Kevin find themselves in a heated debate over their preferred doctor, and Ben (guest-star Geoff Stults) complicates the situation further by supporting Lucy’s choice. Additionally, Ruthie has her own motives for wanting to spend time with Martin and his friend Mac (guest-star Kyle Searles), but her hopes are dashed when Mac views her more like a sister than a potential romantic interest.
