When famous snake breeder Ben Renick is discovered dead in his reptile facility, investigators initially suspect a fatal encounter with one of his venomous snakes. However, the discovery of bullet casings concealed behind shelves shifts the focus of the investigation. After three years of probing, authorities turn their attention to Ben's wife, Lynlee Renick. On the witness stand, Lynlee admits she was there when her husband was killed but maintains her innocence, accusing her ex-boyfriend, Michael Humphrey, while painting a picture of Ben that contradicts his public persona as a devoted husband.
