West Beverly's football team, riding high on their undefeated streak, gears up for a crucial match against the formidable Shaw High. However, the game takes a dark turn when the school opts to forfeit after two Shaw students are tragically shot by gang members during a game. Brandon is enraged to see that his peers are more focused on the upcoming homecoming dance, organized by Brenda, than on the tragic events. He and Shaw's newspaper editor, Jordan Bonner, decide to publish each other’s editorials without permission. In a bold move, Brandon invites the Shaw students to the dance, sparking outrage among his friends and school officials. Tensions rise and a fight nearly erupts, but Nikki and Donna manage to calm things down by inviting the Shaw guys to dance. Music: "Switch It Up," by Brian Austin Green; "Let Me Be Yo."
