Episode Overview
Brenda secures the lead role, surprising everyone who witnessed her audition. Meanwhile, Steve spreads a rumor that she had an affair with Roy. Only Dylan fully trusts Brenda's claims of innocence. Laura sabotages Brenda by making her miss a rehearsal in hopes of getting her dismissed. When that plan fails, she persuades Steve to hurt Brenda. Roy eventually removes Laura from the production. In a tense moment, Steve and Brenda rush to prevent Laura from harming herself in the auditorium. Suzanne and Kevin get engaged, while Dylan uncovers more about Kevin's research. Kevin decides to leave his job to seek funding from independent investors. Clare attempts to join Brandon on his trip to Berkeley, but he confronts the chancellor about his daughter's misconduct.
