Kelly is left with burns on her wrist, ear, and neck, while Allison’s injuries are far worse, yet she remains upbeat. Brandon grapples with guilt over his feelings for Emily. When Kelly finds out that Emily is still around, she reacts negatively, prompting her to call Dylan to voice her worries. Meanwhile, Brandon seeks advice from Dylan as well. Kelly fears that Brandon is with her out of pity, but Emily reassures her that he had confessed his love for Kelly before the incident. Meanwhile, Griffin’s father hires a skilled lawyer to keep both him and Steve out of jail, resulting in probation and community service, along with a two-year ban on hosting dance events. Steve is enraged to learn about this restriction, especially after discovering that Griffin had stolen the house keys without permission for the rave. In a fit of anger, he physically confronts Griffin and expels him from the fraternity. Ray continues to endure his own string of misfortunes.
