Episode Overview
During a hypnotic session, Dylan taps into a previous life as a gunslinger in the Wild West. He instantly recognizes Kelly as the woman who inspired him to embrace a family-oriented life. In that life, he bravely intervened to save a former love from execution but was ultimately shot by the son of one of his past victims. Realizing that Kelly is his true soulmate, Dylan waits for her return from New York and greets her with a fervent kiss. Meanwhile, Brandon aims for re-election with minimal opposition, but faces backlash over a tuition increase mandated by the board of education. Alex Diaz emerges as a successful write-in candidate for president. Valerie believes Brandon is the ideal partner for her. Jim worries about his job security as his superiors conduct secret meetings. Jesse contemplates an offer from the Yale School of Law, contingent on Andrea's scholarship being restored. Music: "I Know" by Dionne Farris
