Episode Overview
Valerie wants to return to Buffalo, but her mother is now in a mental health facility and unable to care for her. Brandon talks to Steve, urging him to reconsider his stance on Valerie. Meanwhile, Dylan is introduced to drugs by someone from a pool hall. After Valerie chooses to visit Dylan instead of attending a party, Brandon turns cold toward her. She opens up about Dylan’s dire situation and begs Brandon for assistance. On Halloween, Dylan discovers his gun and threatens the kids vandalizing his house, firing it in frustration. Brandon takes the gun from Dylan despite his threats of legal repercussions and stays to watch over him as he passes out. At a Halloween party, Ray is furious to see Griffin kiss Donna. Donna confronts Griffin about Ray, leading to a rude response and a slap. Ray ultimately agrees to honor Donna’s choice to remain a virgin. Meanwhile, Andrea is hesitant about taking Hannah to a Día de los Muertos celebration but finds herself enjoying it, despite some lingering doubts.
