Episode Overview
Colin drops by to see Kelly and shares that he's overcome his cocaine addiction. However, Kelly insists that their relationship is toxic and decides to end things with him. She then moves in a new roommate, Tara, a troubled teenage runaway. Meanwhile, Valerie enjoys having the house to herself while Steve and Brandon head off for a ski trip with Clare, Susan, and David. She ends up getting close with Colin. On the slopes, Susan bets Brandon on a ski race, leading them off the marked trails. After Susan twists her ankle on a jump, they find themselves stranded and battling the elements as they wait for help. Meanwhile, David is downcast over his breakup with Valerie, and everyone keeps trying to set him up with blonde girls named Mary. Donna learns about a promising medical treatment that could help Joe revive his career. She needs to persuade Joe to consider the option, as he’s reluctant to get his hopes up, while also nudging her father to leverage his connections for Joe’s sake
