Episode Overview
Still reeling from her recent hostage ordeal, Donna struggles to shake off her mood, leaving Clare and David worried. Everything changes when Cliff unexpectedly shows up, and although Donna mentions having a boyfriend, David feels a sting of betrayal. At the After Dark's Valentine's Day event, Luther Vandross performs, but when Donna chooses to leave with Cliff instead of joining David and Chloe, he becomes furious. Later, at the Peach Pit, Donna agrees to go on a date with Cliff. Meanwhile, Valerie's mother visits, asking for her approval to take out a second mortgage on their shared family home. Valerie, wanting nothing to do with it, insists her mother sell the house, leaving Abby puzzled. Valerie is heartbroken to find Tom with Kelly and confides in her that she needs him.
