Episode Overview
Donna and David travel to San Luis Obispo to see her grandmother. Mrs. Martin shares stories of her love for Donna's grandfather, highlighting the striking similarity between David and her late husband, who died in World War II after a brief romance. As they sift through old photos and letters, Donna and David find inspiration to trust in their love despite challenges, including Felice's disapproval. Meanwhile, Kelly discovers a young boy sleeping on her porch and, despite her promise to him, feels compelled to report him to social services, leading to guilt when he disappears from the shelter. Valerie starts dating a handsome new movie star seeking her emotional support in the industry, and Steve recruits Clare, Brandon, and Tracy to help him create an infomercial for his marketing class.
