Episode Overview
Brandon finds himself looking after both Kelly and Valerie, who are sick with the flu. As they rest, the girls delve into the roots of their rivalry, tracing it back to a moment when Kelly interrupted a romantic encounter between Valerie and Brandon. Valerie accuses Kelly of ruining her chance at true love, while Kelly argues that she had actually encouraged Brandon to date Valerie. Meanwhile, Valerie receives a call from Derek Driscoll, an agent from Mr. Taylor's company. She accuses Kelly of concealing her acceptance into Columbia's grad program, but Kelly insists she’s not leaving town and urges Brandon to kick Valerie out. In another storyline, David persuades Donna to accompany him to a business meeting in New Orleans, despite her important class presentation the following day. They oversleep and she ends up missing it. Lastly, Samantha snubs Chancellor Arnold at an event celebrating her sitcom and ultimately decides to break things off with him.
