Kelly takes pleasure in revealing Valerie's pregnancy and subsequent abortion to Brandon, expressing her skepticism about Val's narrative. In response, Brandon confronts Kenny, who plays the role of a wronged party ensnared by a manipulative woman. Kenny claims he paid Valerie $100,000 to keep her distance. Angered, Brandon threatens to kick Val out unless she returns the money. Although Valerie considers moving out, she ultimately decides to give back the cash after speaking with Tracy. She admits to Brandon that she was never pregnant, feeling she can't meet his moral standards. Meanwhile, Mel grows concerned about David’s sudden wealth and asks Donna to watch over him. After an extravagant spending spree, David unexpectedly arrives at Donna's place late at night after a swim. He offers to assist Valerie financially by buying half of the club, and they celebrate with a kiss. Steve impresses Clare with his commitment as he trains for the crew race.
