Paul persuades Jamie to leave her job. Meanwhile, Joan is featured in a magazine article titled "The 20 Most Eligible Bachelorettes in New York," sparking jealousy in Debbie. The group—Paul, Jamie, Ira, Joan, and Debbie—heads to Riff's, but a fire erupts while Paul is in the restroom. As chaos ensues, Ira heroically saves Ursula, while Jamie, Debbie, and Joan escape, leaving Paul behind. In a surprising turn, Joan proposes to Debbie.
