Liv, wanting to break away from her feminine persona, persuades Joey to include her in the group. The challenge involves constructing a Rube Goldberg machine, but when Joey doubts her ingenuity, Liv opts to create her own design. Meanwhile, Maddie organizes a yard sale to gather money for the French Club's upcoming trip to Montreal, but inadvertently sells a treasured childhood keepsake.
