Michael's American adventure takes him to Manhattan's Lower East Side, where he dodges a confrontation with a notorious gang from the city's past and explores the somber tenement buildings that housed countless immigrants. Moving to the West Side, he witnesses the incredible transformation of a once-dangerous railway into a vibrant public park elevated above the bustling streets. Opting for a ferry ride, Michael makes his way to Ellis Island, the historic entry point for around 12 million immigrants. He receives an exclusive tour of the impressive new transportation hub being built near the Ground Zero site.
