A woman's body is discovered brutally beaten and stuffed inside a wooden crate. Simone and Sipowicz work to track down her relatives. Meanwhile, Medavoy and Kirkendall investigate the shooting of a worker from a car service. Russell is summoned to the hospital, where a six-year-old boy has tragically passed away. His parents insist it was an accident.
