Episode Overview

In the season finale, Geoff and Steve make their way back to Poland, where they team up with their friend Marcin to explore the 1868 Pultusk meteorite fall, one of the largest in history. The area is scattered with remnants from two world wars, and it appears that only an old Polish metal detector could assist them in sifting through the debris in the muddy terrain. Later, they visit NASA's Dryden facility in California. After a fascinating tour of the SOFIA airborne telescope, they engage with NASA specialists about how meteorite research has influenced the American space program.
