Ghost Hunters (2004)
S05E10 I am Not Guilty
Episode Overview
In this episode centered on the Civil War, the Ghost Hunters explore the historic Samuel Mudd House, notable for being a stopover for John Wilkes Booth during his flight after assassinating Abraham Lincoln. Samuel Mudd had met Booth six months prior and provided refuge for him after treating his injured leg post-assassination. Although Mudd’s role in the conspiracy is ambiguous, he was convicted. The house, which now serves as a museum, is said to be haunted by several spirits, including a soldier and a woman in white, thought to be Mudd's wife, Sarah. Next, the team travels to Virginia to investigate Edgewood Plantation, an ancestral home of Presidents William Henry and Benjamin Harrison and a site used by the Confederate army during the war. Now recognized as a national and state landmark, it is known for its significant paranormal activity, featuring full-bodied apparitions.
