TAPS delves into the eerie Penhurst State School and Hospital in Philadelphia, a site notorious for its dark history. Closed in 1986 due to rampant patient abuse—where individuals were found in appalling conditions—it's no wonder that the spirits here might be filled with anger and sorrow. Originally designed to accommodate around 600 patients, the facility was overwhelmed with nearly 3,000 residents at the time of its shutdown, many of whom endured severe hardships. Reports of paranormal activity abound, including experiences of being shoved, shadowy figures, a mysterious glowing apparition, and unsettling banging and dragging sounds. The complex features underground tunnels linking the buildings and numerous sightings of ghostly figures, disembodied torsos, slamming doors, and eerie voices.
