Episode Overview

In the 1800s, Robert Richard Randall, a generous sailor, gifted Snug Harbor to the city to support retired sailors with housing and services. Although no sailors reside there today, the site is said to be haunted. In the matron's cottage, her mentally ill son was once confined in the basement, where he eventually escaped and killed her before being executed. Her spirit has been seen wandering various spots on the grounds. Additional paranormal occurrences include an unexplained ringing of the steeple bell, a woman seen dancing in the chapel, and mysterious slamming doors in the music hall—one ghostly figure was even photographed. Could it be the matron's ghost?
